Azerbaijan and Jordan established diplomatic relations on February 13, 1993, shortly after Jordan recognised Azerbaijan’s independence in December 1991, and have since maintained embassies in each other’s capitals.
The partnership spans diverse sectors, including justice, tourism, defence, ICT, transport and emergency management, reflecting a long‑standing multi‑dimensional cooperation framework.
In recent years, institutional mechanisms such as the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation have been active in advancing economic ties and signing cooperation agreements across multiple fields.
