Azerbaijan, Jordan discuss rising Middle East tensions in ministerial call
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, to discuss the escalating military-political situation in the Middle East.
According to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry, the two officials exchanged views on growing regional tensions and underscored the inadmissibility of further deterioration in the security environment, Caliber.Az reports.
Both ministers stressed the importance of resolving disputes through dialogue and diplomatic engagement, in line with the norms and principles of international law. They highlighted the need to prioritize the protection of civilians and prevent further worsening of the humanitarian situation.
Bayramov and Safadi also emphasised the importance of strengthening international efforts aimed at ensuring long-term stability and security across the region.
The conversation additionally covered other issues of mutual interest between Azerbaijan and Jordan.
