Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan can reach new levels in bilateral ties
Chairman of the Azerbaijani Centre of Analysis of International Relations Farid Shafiyev has said that today Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan can reach a new level of development of relations.
“The current geopolitical situation in the region allows Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan to increase bilateral trade turnover, as well as develop the potential as regional transport and logistics hubs. In this regard, it is necessary to note the importance of developing the "Middle Corridor" - the path from China to Europe," Shafiyev said at a meeting of the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Expert Council on August 19, Trend reports.
The chairman noted that the laying of fibre-optic communications between the two countries, construction of which work is already underway, as well as the expansion of the transportation of energy resources through Azerbaijan via existing routes, play an important role in the current agenda.
“Our countries should work on expanding trade turnover and mutual investments. In this regard, the cooperation program for 2022-2026, which is currently being developed, and the trading houses opened in both countries will contribute to the development of bilateral relations in various spheres,” he added.
A memorandum on the establishment of the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Expert Council was signed in Baku on May 23, 2022.
