Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan discuss enhanced military-technical cooperation PHOTO
A delegation led by Azerbaijani Deputy Defence Minister - Director-General Agil Gurbanov and Defence Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Col-Gen. Ruslan Zhaksylykov have discussed the current situation and prospects for the development of cooperation.
Gurbanov is currently on a visit to Kazakhstan, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.
Both sides emphasised that the military cooperation between the two countries is built on friendly and fraternal ties, which have deep historical roots. During the meeting, the current situation and prospects for the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in the military, military-technical, and military-educational fields were discussed. The views on regional security issues were thoroughly exchanged.
Later, a meeting was held with Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Maj. Gen. Shaikh-Hasan Satarkululy Zhazykbaev. Both sides emphasized the importance of such meetings to expand military cooperation and highlighted that joint exercises contribute to enhancing the professional level of military personnel and further strengthening the armed forces of both countries. The meeting addressed a number of other issues of mutual interest.
