Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan explore new media initiatives at key forum meeting PHOTO

During the 2nd Central Asian Media Forum in Astana, Ahmad Ismayilov, CEO of the Media Development Agency of Azerbaijan, and Aida Balayeva, Kazakhstan's Minister of Culture and Information have discussed strengthening cooperation in information security and fostering closer ties between the two nations. 

Both leaders discussed the implementation of new initiatives aimed at improving the media landscape in the region, Caliber.Az reports via local media. 

One of the main points of discussion was the progress of a memorandum of understanding, which outlines key areas of cooperation between the two parties. They also addressed the importance of media professional training and the exchange of knowledge in tackling the spread of fake and unreliable information—a growing concern in the digital age.

Earlier, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu discussed issues of strategic partnership of the two countries, as well as prospects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation during extended talks in Astana.

During the expanded meeting between Foreign Minister Bayramov Jeyhun of Azerbaijan and Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtleu of Kazakhstan, matters stemming from strategic partnership between the two countries, prospects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation were discussed. The ministry said the meeting also saw the sides share thoughts over political, economic, trade, transport-communication, and humanitarian dimensions of the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan strategic partnership.
