Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan foreign ministers discuss regional escalation
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev on March 2 to discuss the escalating security situation in the region.
According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the two ministers exchanged views on the ongoing military escalation and rising tensions, expressing deep concern over recent developments. They warned that any further deterioration could pose a serious threat to regional security and stability.
Bayramov and Kosherbayev also underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation between the consular sections of their diplomatic missions in the region. The sides agreed that coordinated efforts to support their citizens amid the current circumstances would be beneficial.
The conversation additionally covered other issues of mutual interest.
