Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan hail successfully developing relations PHOTO
Speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament Sahiba Gafarova as part of a working visit to the Russian Federation met with Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev in St. Petersburg.
The relations between friendly and fraternal countries have been successfully developing, the Azerbaijani parliament told Report.
Emphasising the presidents’ special role in the development of ties covering many spheres, the sides noted that close relations between the presidents make an important contribution to relations between countries.
Mutual visits of the Azerbaijani and Kazakh presidents in recent years have had a positive impact on bilateral relations.
The sides stressed at the meeting that the countries are actively cooperating both in a bilateral format and within the international organisations.
In particular, the importance of ties within the TURKPA was noted.
During the conversation, Gafarova also informed about the large-scale construction and restoration work being carried out by Azerbaijan in the territories liberated from occupation, and Armenia’s provocative actions against sustainable peace in the region.
The views on other issues of mutual interest were exchanged.
