Azerbaijan, Kuwait explore ways to boost economic cooperation PHOTO
As part of a working visit to Kuwait, Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, met with local business representatives and colleagues to discuss ways to strengthen economic ties between Azerbaijan and Kuwait.
“Together with our colleagues, we held a roundtable discussion with the participation of business representatives to explore ways to enhance the effectiveness of Azerbaijan–Kuwait economic cooperation,” Jabbarov said on X.
During the talks, participants reviewed mechanisms to deepen collaboration across key sectors, including energy, industry, agriculture, transport, logistics, and tourism.
“We also emphasised the importance of close coordination between business entities and active support for joint investment initiatives,” the minister added.
During his visit, Jabbarov met with Rabah Abdulrahman Al-Rabah, Director General of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to discuss ways to increase trade, promote mutual investment, and enhance dialogue between business communities.
The discussions also focused on expanding collaboration in energy, industrial zones, and joint production projects.
Jabbarov also met Kuwait’s Finance Minister, Subaih Abdul Aziz Abdul Muhsen Al-Mukhaizeem, who also oversees electricity, water, renewable energy, and investment affairs.
The Azerbaijani minister highlighted Azerbaijan’s investment opportunities and discussed cooperation across trade, tourism, agriculture, energy, transportation, and transit sectors.
