Azerbaijan lashes out at ex-EU envoy's stance on Karabakh Armenians' return
Former European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar's characterization of the return of Armenians, who voluntarily left the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan and moved to Armenia or other countries, as a "special case" is unacceptable.
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Deputy Spokesperson Vasif Aliyev said in a comment, Caliber.Az reports.
It is also not admissible that Toivo Klaar does not demonstrate an objective approach to the issue of the right to return of Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia.
"To create appropriate conditions for the safe and dignified return of Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia to their native lands is Armenia's obligation, and the international community should demand the fulfillment of this obligation," Vasif Aliyev stressed.
