The agreement was reached during a meeting between Armands Krause, Latvia’s Minister of Agriculture, and Elnur Sultanov, Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Riga, Caliber.Az reports.
The discussion focused on enhancing bilateral ties, with particular attention given to the planned visit of the Latvian Minister to Azerbaijan and the future prospects of cooperation between the two nations.
A key focus of the talks was the cooperation proposals previously put forward by Latvia, as well as Azerbaijan's expressed interest in developing a partnership in the forestry sector. The sides also emphasized the significant potential for collaboration in the agro-industrial complex, with a commitment to expanding interaction and implementing joint projects in various fields.
This upcoming meeting marks the continuation of growing ties between Azerbaijan and Latvia, following the eighth IGC meeting held in Riga in May 2022.
