Azerbaijan launches arbitration proceedings against Armenia

In accordance with the rules of the Berne Convention, Azerbaijan has launched an arbitration process against Armenia for large-scale environmental destruction.

Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan Chingiz Asgarov made the statement while speaking at the international conference of judges on "Access to justice in the field of ecology" (September 14-16), which is held by the Supreme Court and the Association of Judges of the Kyrgyz Republic in the city of Cholpon-Ata, Trend reports.

He noted that the process of investigating the environmental damage caused to the nature of Azerbaijan as a result of the 30-year occupation of Armenia is ongoing.
