Azerbaijan launches investigation into hybrid attacks targeting COP29 Parliament’s report
In response to a coordinated campaign of disinformation against Azerbaijan following the decision to host the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Parliamentary Commission against Foreign Interference and Hybrid Threats has initiated an investigation on behalf of Milli Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Sahiba Gafarova.
The investigation has led to the preparation of a report titled “Hybrid attacks against COP29” which was finalized in November in both Azerbaijani and English languages, Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis told Caliber.Az.
The report outlines the hybrid attacks against Azerbaijan, identifying how and through whom they were organized, and the methods of their execution. It highlights the involvement of several international human rights organizations that carry out specific agendas, funded by the financial and political support of certain states. The report further reveals that the individuals behind the attacks are connected to Armenia and the global Armenian community.
The analysis also examines the coordinated efforts by various parliamentarians, major media outlets, and the Armenian lobby in orchestrating these attacks.
