Azerbaijan lowers investments in Russia in 2024

Azerbaijan's direct investments in the Russian economy totalled $27.4 million from January to September 2024, reflecting an 18% decline compared to the same period of 2023.

According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, these investments accounted for 2% of Azerbaijan's total overseas investments, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Russia's direct investments in Azerbaijan's economy amounted to $97.9 million over the same nine months, marking a threefold decrease compared to the same period last year, the Bank said.

Russia's investments represented 2.2% of the total foreign investments in Azerbaijan during the reported timeframe.
