Azerbaijan, Luxembourg focus on regional security, bilateral cooperation

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has engaged in a telephone conversation with Xavier Bettel, Luxembourg's Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade. 

The discussion focused on enhancing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Luxembourg, alongside addressing broader regional and international security concerns, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Caliber.Az.

The conversation highlighted the significance of continued diplomatic engagement in strengthening ties between the two nations.

Bayramov provided an in-depth update on the current regional situation, particularly in the aftermath of recent conflicts, and discussed the ongoing process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The Azerbaijani top diplomat emphasized the challenges posed by Armenia's territorial claims and its accelerating militarization, which he argued undermine efforts to achieve lasting peace in the region.

These issues were framed as significant obstacles to the development of stable and enduring peace.

The conversation also covered various bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest, reflecting a mutual commitment to addressing global and regional issues through collaborative efforts.
