Azerbaijan, Malaysia mull current regional situation PHOTO
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received newly appointed Ambassador of Malaysia to Azerbaijan Ahmad Kamrizamil Mohd Riza on November 16.
The ambassador handed over a copy of his credentials to Bayramov, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az.
Bayramov congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his future activity.
The cooperation issues between Azerbaijan and Malaysia, prospects for the development of bilateral relations, including prospects in tourism and education, as well as the current regional situation were discussed at the meeting. Bayramov informed the ambassador about the almost 30-year occupation of the Azerbaijani territories and the process of normalisation of the Armenia-Azerbaijan relations in the post-conflict period.
The ambassador assured that he would make every effort to further develop relations between Azerbaijan and Malaysia.
The views on other issues of mutual interest were exchanged during the meeting.
