Azerbaijan marks 12th anniversary of combined arms army PHOTO/VIDEO
A ceremonial event marking the 12th anniversary of the establishment of the Combined Arms Army (CAA) was held at the CAA Training and Educational Centre, bringing together military personnel from the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defence and the Combined Arms Army.
The ceremony began with a minute of silence in honour of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani martyrs who lost their lives defending the country, followed by the performance of the national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, according to the Defence Ministry.
Addressing the participants, Commander of the Combined Arms Army Lieutenant General Kanan Seyidov conveyed congratulations from Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defence, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov. He congratulated the personnel on the anniversary and wished them continued success in their professional service.
As part of the event, a video presentation was shown highlighting the development of the army in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the military reforms implemented in recent years.
The programme also featured cultural performances by the creative team of the CAA Training and Educational Centre, including national dances and patriotic songs.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of awards to military personnel and civilian employees who had distinguished themselves through exemplary performance of their official duties.
