Azerbaijan marks Africa day with message of strengthened cooperation
Azerbaijan has extended congratulations to African countries on the occasion of Africa Day, highlighting its commitment to expanding cooperation with the continent across a range of sectors.
In a statement posted on X, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan extended its sincere congratulations and best wishes to the governments and peoples of the African continent, Caliber.Az reports.
“The Republic of Azerbaijan attaches great importance to its friendly relations with African countries. We highly value our cooperation with African partners across various fields, including trade, education, energy, sustainable development, and humanitarian initiatives, and look forward to expanding our engagement both bilaterally and within international organisations. Happy Africa Day!” the post reads.

The ministry emphasised its intention to further deepen engagement with African states both through bilateral partnerships and within multilateral institutions.
Africa Day is celebrated annually on May 25 and marks the founding of the African Union’s predecessor, the Organisation of African Unity, in 1963.
