Azerbaijan, Mexico cooperate fruitfully within int’l organisations

Ambassador of Mexico to Azerbaijan Maria Victoria Romero Caballero has said that Azerbaijan and Mexico cooperate fruitfully within the international organisations.

The ambassador made these remarks at an event in Baku dedicated to the 213th anniversary of the independence of the United Mexican States, according to Report.

She noted that cooperation on issues of mutual interest between the countries within the UN is constantly developing.

“I presented my credentials to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in January 2023. A meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mexico Carmen Moreno and Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov in May 2023 as part of the third round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries,” the ambassador said.

Caballero also emphasised that Mexico highly appreciates the role of Azerbaijan in the Non-Aligned Movement.

“At the moment, the embassy is cooperating with many organisations to increase the flow of tourists from Azerbaijan to Mexico,” she added.
