Azerbaijan moves toward ratifying military security agreement with Türkiye

Azerbaijan’s parliament is preparing to ratify a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening mutual military security with Türkiye.

The draft bill was reviewed on November 27 during an online meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Defence, Security, and Anti-Corruption, Caliber.Az writes via local media.

Committee members discussed the terms of the agreement before recommending the draft for debate at a forthcoming plenary session.

The memorandum, signed on July 22, 2025, during the 17th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF-2025) in Türkiye, outlines expanded collaboration between Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence and Turkish Ministry of National Defence.
