During the discussion, the sides emphasised Azerbaijan's contributions to energy security of NATO allies and partners, as well as to the EU.
The sides also discussed bilateral partnership and other issues of mutual interest.
Azerbaijan has maintained close cooperation with NATO since 1994 through the Partnership for Peace (PfP) programme, which aims to foster transparency and mutual trust between the Alliance and non-member states. Baku has contributed to NATO-led operations and hosted numerous joint training sessions, particularly in the fields of defence reform, interoperability, and crisis management.
