The Azerbaijani Navy has concluded its specialised "Basic Diver Course" with a formal military graduation ceremony convened on Saturday, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry of Defence.
The training initiative was executed in accordance with a direct order from the First Deputy Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army. Defence Ministry officials and military commanders addressing the assembly emphasised that these specialised training pipelines serve as a critical instrument in expanding the combat readiness and technical proficiency of the state's naval personnel.
Throughout the course, naval personnel underwent rigorous academic instruction coupled with high-intensity tactical drills in maritime environments. According to official defence statements, participants successfully mastered critical operational capabilities.
It was noted that during the course, alongside theoretical knowledge, the participants acquired practical skills in performing underwater technical tasks, searching for and lifting sunken objects to the surface, inspecting the underwater hulls of ships, as well as other diving operations.
The qualification cycle concluded with senior naval command leadership presenting official certification to the service members who met the operational standards required for deployment within the Navy's specialised diving and engineering units.
