Azerbaijan, North Macedonia explore new prospects in political, cultural partnership PHOTO
Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova has met with Speaker of North Macedonia’s Assembly Afrim Gashi during his official visit to Azerbaijan to discuss current cooperation and future opportunities across political, economic, cultural-humanitarian, educational, and scientific sectors.
During their discussions, Gafarova expressed satisfaction with the strong development of bilateral relations over the past 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
She highlighted that the relationship between the two nations is built on genuine friendship and mutual respect. Both sides emphasised their commitment to deepening collaboration across these areas.
While speaking about his first official visit to Azerbaijan, Gashi praised the capital city Baku and commended Azerbaijan’s remarkable economic achievements and rapid growth in recent years. He noted that these accomplishments reflect the Azerbaijani people's resilience and determination in overcoming challenges.
The delegation was also provided with detailed information about the history, structure, and functions of Azerbaijan’s parliament during the visit.
