Azerbaijan, North Macedonia forge closer diplomatic bonds in Baku Photo
On June 17, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met in Baku with Afrim Gashi, President of North Macedonia’s Assembly.
The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Foreign Ministry.
The sides exchanged views on inter-parliamentary relations, regional matters, and deepening ties between their foreign ministries.
Both welcomed the growing pace of high-level contacts and underlined the importance of continued political dialogue.
Bayramov noted opportunities for partnership in both traditional and renewable energy sectors.
He also briefed the delegation on the regional situation following the conflict, particularly the normalisation process with Armenia.
Bayramov stressed the need to address remaining obstacles, including constitutional territorial claims by Armenia, and highlighted the outdated role of the OSCE Minsk Group.
