Azerbaijan, North Macedonia forge stronger ties in politics, economy, and more 30 years of friendship
Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova met with the delegation led by the President of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, on her official visit to Azerbaijan.
The meeting was significant as it coincided with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Press and Public Relations Department of the Parliament.
Gafarova emphasized the importance of such visits and high-level meetings in fostering political ties and strengthening bilateral cooperation.
"Over the past three decades, Azerbaijan and North Macedonia have built relations based on friendship, mutual respect, and shared interests," Gafarova stated.
She added that there are promising prospects for expanding cooperation in various sectors, including the economy, trade, investment, energy, transport, and agriculture.
For her part, Siljanovska-Davkova praised Azerbaijan as a friendly and close partner, highlighting her country's commitment to enhancing its ties with Azerbaijan.
During their discussions, both leaders expressed mutual interest in furthering cooperation and addressing key regional and global issues.
