Azerbaijan, OIC expand judicial cooperation
Saudi Arabia's Jeddah hosted a meeting of the anti-corruption agencies from the member nations of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on December 5-6.
During the two-day meeting, the OIC member states' conference to be held on December 20-21, as well as the draft of the Mecca Convention on Cooperation in Combating Corruption, which will be adopted at the ministerial level, were discussed and the final text was agreed, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani General Prosecutor's Office.
At the event, the head of the International Legal Cooperation Department, Erkin Alikhanov spoke about the legislative and institutional reforms carried out in the field of fighting corruption in Azerbaijan, as well as the work done in the field of returning property obtained through crime.
He stressed that the Azerbaijani prosecutorial bodies attach special importance to the expansion of international relations in this sphere.
