Azerbaijan, Oman FM's discuss deepening ties across multiple sectors PHOTO / Updated

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held talks with his Omani counterpart, Badr bin Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi, during an official visit to the Sultanate, focusing on expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.

According to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry, the ministers highlighted the importance of sustained high-level dialogue and reciprocal visits in deepening the bilateral partnership.

They explored opportunities for collaboration in economic, trade, humanitarian, and cultural fields.

A significant milestone noted during the meeting was the official opening of Azerbaijan’s embassy in Muscat, which is expected to enhance diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries.

The ministers also praised their joint efforts within international organisations, including the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

They underscored the importance of close coordination ahead of major events scheduled in Azerbaijan in 2026, such as the OIC Summit and the World Urban Forum.

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi are holding a one-on-one meeting in Oman, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry confirmed on X.

“Happening now: Tête-à-tête meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov and Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman Badr Albusaidi,” the ministry said.
