Azerbaijan, Oman open dialogue on consular cooperation
The foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Oman have held their first-ever consular consultations via videoconference, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation through enhanced consular services, legal framework expansion, and improved support for their citizens.
The virtual meeting was chaired by the heads of the consular departments — Emil Safarov from the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry and Mohamed Bin Nasser Al-Mabsali from the Omani side, the Azerbaijani foreign ministry told Caliber.Az.
Both delegations also exchanged expertise in the digitalization of consular services, reflecting a shared commitment to modernization and service efficiency. Discussions extended to cooperation in broader areas such as justice, internal affairs, education, labor, and social protection.
