Azerbaijan opens “Customs–Business 2025” forum in Baku Photo
The Customs–Business 2025: Dialogue and Trust forum opened in Baku on December 8, bringing together senior government officials and business leaders to discuss ongoing reforms and digital transformation within Azerbaijan’s customs sector.
Among the participants are Shahmar Movsumov, Assistant to the President and Head of the Department for Economic Affairs and Innovative Development Policy; Shahin Baghirov, Chairman of the State Customs Committee (SCC); and Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, BP’s Vice President for Communications and External Affairs in the Caspian region, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The forum’s agenda includes presentations of new digital tools being rolled out across customs operations, along with joint projects between the SCC and other state agencies aimed at simplifying and regulating foreign trade procedures. Business representatives will also engage in discussions on customs processes, challenges, and opportunities for operational improvements.
Organised annually by the SCC, the Customs–Business Forum serves as a platform for government bodies, foreign trade participants, experts, and international partners to exchange views and strengthen cooperation while informing the public about innovations in the customs sphere.
