Azerbaijan, Pakistan chart new paths for military cooperation at IDEF 2025 PHOTO

As part of a visit to Türkiye for the IDEF 2025 17th International Defence Industry Fair, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defence, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, has met with General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan, to discuss military cooperation between the two nations.

The discussions underscored the longstanding foundation of mutual trust, cooperation, and shared cultural values underpinning Azerbaijani-Pakistani relations, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry.

Both officials engaged in a comprehensive exchange of views regarding the current state of military collaboration between the two countries.

Key topics included ongoing cooperative efforts and initiatives to further enhance bilateral defence ties. Importantly, the meeting also explored new prospects for expanding and deepening military relations, signaling a commitment to strengthen strategic partnership in the defence sector.
