Azerbaijan, Pakistan discuss strengthening judicial cooperation
Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Justice Farid Ahmadov to discuss the enhancement of mutual legal assistance mechanisms and efforts to strengthen the judicial systems of both countries.
According to the Facebook post by the Office of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the talks focused on advancing legal and judicial cooperation as part of the broader bilateral agenda between the two states.
During the meeting, Sharif emphasised that relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, which he described as brotherly countries, continue to strengthen. He also conveyed warm greetings to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
Ahmadov briefed the Pakistani prime minister on the current state of cooperation between the two countries in the legal and judicial spheres, outlining ongoing initiatives and areas of engagement.
Both sides highlighted ongoing efforts aimed at improving mechanisms of mutual legal assistance and reinforcing the institutional capacity of their respective judicial systems.
Sharif praised the current level of bilateral cooperation and expressed hope that he would soon meet with President Ilham Aliyev to further expand ties across all sectors.
