Azerbaijan, Pakistan focus on regional stability as talks loom in Islamabad
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart Mohammad Ishaq Dar, during which the two discussed the current regional situation, Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan announced.
During the call, Bayramov welcomed the ceasefire reached between the United States and Iran, describing it as an important step toward reducing tensions, strengthening regional stability, and improving the humanitarian situation, Caliber.Az reports.
He underscored the role of friendly and brotherly Pakistan in facilitating the agreement and expressed appreciation for Islamabad’s efforts to promote peace, dialogue, and trust among the parties involved.
FM Bayramov also voiced hope for positive outcomes from the upcoming negotiations scheduled to take place in Islamabad.
The Azerbaijani foreign minister further praised Pakistan’s consistent and principled stance, as well as its constructive diplomatic initiatives.
In addition to discussing the ceasefire, the ministers exchanged views on a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest and explored prospects for further strengthening the Azerbaijan–Pakistan strategic partnership.
