Azerbaijan, Pakistan forge stronger economic, military ties
Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov, engaged in discussions with Federal Minister of Economic Affairs Ahad khan Cheema regarding the enhancement of economic cooperation between the two countries.
The ambassador shared insights on his social media platform about the meeting, emphasizing the importance of fostering ties within the framework of the forthcoming Azerbaijan-Pakistan Intergovernmental Commission, Caliber.Az reports.
In a related development, on October 28, Azerbaijani Defence Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov met with General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan, who was in Azerbaijan on an official visit.
The discussions focused on the prospects for military collaboration between the two countries, underscoring a commitment to strengthening bilateral relations across various sectors.
General Hasanov emphasised the fraternal ties and military relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan. He highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral and trilateral military cooperation with Türkiye and briefed the delegation on the current operational situation along the Azerbaijani-Armenian border.
