Azerbaijan, Pakistan seek new investment spheres in diplomatic discussions PHOTO
Azerbaijani ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov has discussed expanding investment opportunities between Baku and Islamabad with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar.
“Productive meeting between Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Law and Justice and Azerbaijan’s Ambassador of Azerbaijan. Discussed strengthening ties, legal cooperation, and boosting investment opportunities,” Caliber.Az reports, citing the message of Pakistan’s Ministry of Law and Justice.
Trade and economic relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan have recently undergone rapid development. Last year, the two friendly countries made significant progress in the energy and tourism sectors, and agreements on preferential trade and transit corridors were signed.
Building on this foundation, Baku and Islamabad aim to increase trade turnover, promote investment projects in the non-oil sector, establish joint ventures, and implement initiatives in "green" energy. The business prospects were discussed at the recent Azerbaijan-Pakistan business forum in Baku.
