Azerbaijan, Poland eye military medical cooperation Photo
In line with the 2025 bilateral military cooperation plan signed between Azerbaijan's Defence Ministry and the Polish Armed Forces, a meeting between military medical specialists from both countries was held in Baku.
The meeting took place at the Medical Department of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence, where the Polish delegation was briefed on recent reforms and developments in military medicine within the Azerbaijan Army, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Defence Ministry.
Presentations highlighted the organization of medical services, newly introduced treatment practices, and the scope of medical care provided to active-duty and reserve military personnel, as well as their family members.
Particular attention was given to the Main Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Defence, with emphasis on the comprehensive conditions created for the examination and treatment of military personnel and the role of highly qualified medical staff in delivering care.
The discussions included an extensive exchange of views on prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in military medicine and on other issues of mutual interest. Both sides noted the importance of continuing working-level meetings to promote the exchange of experience, broaden cooperation opportunities, and enhance professional training for military medical personnel.
Following the meeting, the Polish delegation visited the Ministry of Defence’s Main Clinical Hospital and other military medical institutions, where they familiarised themselves with the facilities and medical infrastructure in place.
