Azerbaijan, Portugal discuss expanding ties at Antalya forum PHOTO

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met Portugal’s Minister of State and Foreign Affairs Paulo Rangel on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2026, where the two sides discussed expanding bilateral ties, Azerbaijan’s foreign ministry said on X.

According to a statement, the talks focused on strengthening political dialogue and deepening cooperation in areas including the economy, trade and energy, as well as coordination within international organisations.

The ministers also exchanged views on prospects for further institutionalising relations, including the potential opening of a Portuguese embassy in Azerbaijan, the ministry said.
