27 February 2026 19:36

The Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau, operating under the State Agency for Tourism of Azerbaijan, showcased the country’s tourism offerings at a series of Luxury Travel Mart events held from February 20 to 27 in Tashkent, Almaty and Moscow.

The promotional roadshow highlighted Azerbaijan’s diverse tourism portfolio, including coastal destinations along the Caspian Sea, ski resorts, wellness and spa centres, rich cultural heritage, and emerging gastronomic routes, Caliber.Az reports per the agency.

As part of the programme, extensive B2B meetings brought together 450 travel companies and tour operators from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Russia. In total, around 1,200 tourism professionals participated in discussions focused on expanding partnerships and exploring new opportunities for cooperation with Azerbaijan’s tourism sector.

Recent statistics underline the growing interest in Azerbaijan from key regional markets. In January 2026, the number of visitors from Russia reached 42,342, marking a 2 per cent increase compared with January 2025. Arrivals from Kazakhstan totalled 5,676, also up 2 per cent year-on-year, while 5,130 tourists travelled from Uzbekistan, representing a significant 72 per cent increase over the same period last year.
