Azerbaijan, Qatar explore expansion of mutual investments at Baku forum
Azerbaijan and Qatar discussed ways to promote mutual investments and develop joint economic projects on the sidelines of the 1st Azerbaijan International Investment Forum held in Baku, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said.
In a post on X, Jabbarov highlighted that Azerbaijan’s growing economic potential enables the launch of new initiatives in cooperation, investment, and strategic partnership with Gulf states, Caliber.Az reports.

“Within the framework of the forum, we met with Nasser Al-Attiyah, Director for Emerging Markets at the Qatar Investment Authority. We reviewed opportunities for expanding economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Qatar, promoting mutual investments, and partnering in the development of strategic sectors,” the minister wrote.
Organised by the Ministry of Economy and AZPROMO in strategic partnership with the European House “Ambrosetti” (TEHA), and with informational and organisational support from Euronews and Sea Breeze, the forum is being held in Baku on September 22–23. It brought together government officials, business leaders, and international investors.
