Azerbaijan's globally strong diplomacy forced Russia's apology over AZAL plane crash Report by Turkish Haber Global
Azerbaijan has achieved the desired outcome thanks to its transparent diplomacy.
This statement forms the basis of a report by the Turkish Haber Global TV channel, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The article highlights that Azerbaijan has once again demonstrated its diplomatic strength on the international stage. Amid Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's firm stance, Moscow was compelled to acknowledge its responsibility for the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) passenger plane.
"Azerbaijan has received the expected official apologies from Russia. How the process will evolve remains to be seen," the report says.
The crash occurred on December 25, when an Embraer aircraft operated by Azerbaijan Airlines, en route from Baku to Grozny, tragically crashed near Aktau. The plane was carrying 67 people, including 37 Azerbaijanis, 16 Russians, 6 Kazakhs, and 3 Kyrgyz nationals. Sadly, 38 people lost their lives in the crash, with 29 survivors.
