Azerbaijan reliable transit country, says Deputy PM Mustafayev
Azerbaijan has proven itself a stable and dependable transit country amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the region, Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev has said.
Speaking to journalists in Zangilan, Mustafayev noted that transport routes running through Azerbaijan had continued to operate without disruption, meeting all obligations despite regional instability, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
He highlighted the International North–South Transport Corridor as a key example, saying it had functioned smoothly throughout the period and reinforced confidence in Azerbaijan’s role as a transit hub.
According to Mustafayev, recent developments have further increased the competitiveness of these routes, laying a strong foundation for Azerbaijan to emerge as one of the region’s principal transport and logistics centres in the future.
