Azerbaijan reports no new citizen casualties in Iran
Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that no new Azerbaijani citizens have been reported injured in Iran, while the country’s diplomatic missions continue operating in reinforced mode, local media say.
According to a statement from the Ministry on March 1, one Azerbaijani citizen was previously injured in Iranian airstrikes. The individual is receiving necessary support from the diplomatic mission, and their condition is reported as satisfactory.
In light of the ongoing crisis, Azerbaijan’s embassies and consulates in the region remain active under heightened security.
The Ministry travel advisory advises Azerbaijani citizens in Iran to exit the country via land borders with Azerbaijan or Türkiye, depending on their location.
