A group of personnel from the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry has revered the memory of those who died in Great Patriotic War.

The personnel laid a wreath and flowers at the monument to Hero of the Soviet Union, Major General Hazi Aslanov, on the occasion of another anniversary of the victory over fascism in the Great Patriotic War on May 9, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.

The flowers were also laid at the monuments to the Heroes of the Soviet Union Mehdi Huseynzade, Richard Sorge, Gafur Mammadov and the Mass Grave memorial during the commemorative events in Baku.

Moreover, the events were held in military units on the occasion of Victory Day.

The participants were informed about the feat of the Azerbaijani brave sons, who demonstrated courage and heroism in the Great Patriotic War, and revered their blessed memory.
