Azerbaijan, Romania hold high-level talks on security, cooperation
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Romanian counterpart Oana Silvia Țoiu have held a telephone conversation to discuss bilateral cooperation, regional security, and broader engagement with the European Union.
The sides focused on the current state of and prospects for the development of bilateral and multilateral relations, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
In this context, they exchanged views on opportunities to expand cooperation in the fields of energy, transport, and communications. The importance of strategic projects involving Azerbaijan was also emphasized.
Addressing regional and international security issues, the ministers underlined the need to further strengthen Azerbaijani-Romanian cooperation.
The conversation also covered the current state of and future prospects for relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union, with both sides stressing the importance of continuing dialogue in this direction.
