18 July 2024 09:44

Another round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Romania was held in Bucharest.

Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev led the Azerbaijani delegation, while the Romanian delegation was headed by MFA State Secretary Ana Cristina Tinca, according to a report from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan to Caliber.Az.

During the consultations, both sides discussed strengthening the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Romania, along with the current state and future prospects of cooperation in various fields, including political, economic, energy, transport, and humanitarian sectors.

They also talked about collaboration within international organizations, as well as strategic energy and transport projects initiated and participated in by Azerbaijan.

The delegations exchanged views on the preparations for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), to be held in November in Azerbaijan. They noted that the event would create new opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation.

In addition, they discussed regional and international issues and other topics of mutual interest.
