Azerbaijan, Russia discuss bolstering North-South Corridor's capabilities
The Azerbaijani and Russian customs services have discussed building up the capabilities of the North-South International Transport Corridor.
Shahin Baghirov, acting chairman of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee received the delegation lead by Vladimir Bulavin, head of the Russian Federal Customs Service, Report informs citing the committee.
The views on cooperation issues between the two countries in the field of creating favourable conditions for ensuring the rapid movement of vehicles at checkpoints across the state border, eliminating traffic density at the border were exchanged during the meeting.
The sides spoke about the development of economic ties between the two countries at the meeting.
The significant role of the joint effective activity of customs bodies in increasing trade turnover compared to last year was emphasised.
