Azerbaijan, Russia sign agreement to boost digital rail freight cooperation Photo
Azerbaijan Railways and Russian Railways have agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation and advance the digitalisation of freight transportation.
Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways (ADY), part of AZCON Holding, met with Oleg Belozyorov, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Russian Railways, to discuss key aspects of the two countries’ railway collaboration on Nocember 25, Caliber.Az reports via ADY.
The talks focused on improving route efficiency, enhancing transportation safety, and optimising cargo operations through digital solutions and faster data exchange.
The meeting concluded with the signing of a bilateral agreement on electronic data exchange, which is expected to enable full digital document circulation and improve the overall efficiency of freight logistics between the two nations.
