Azerbaijan's “ASAN xidmət” model to be implemented in Romania

08 October 2024 22:54

A delegation led by Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan, has visited Bucharest, Romania, at the invitation of Mircea Abrudean, Secretary General of the Government of Romania.

During the first day of the visit, Mehdiyev and Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Romania, Gudsi Osmanov, paid tribute to the monument of national leader Heydar Aliyev in Tei Park, Bucharest, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

A significant outcome of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Azerbaijan's State Agency and the General Secretariat of the Romanian Government, aimed at enhancing cooperation in public services. This agreement outlines plans to implement “ASAN xidmət” practices in Romania and facilitates knowledge exchange through training sessions for Romanian experts at “ASAN xidmət” centres.

At the signing ceremony held at Victoria Palace, Secretary General Abrudean emphasized the importance of adopting the globally recognized “ASAN xidmət” model to advance public service delivery in Romania. He highlighted the potential benefits of this collaboration for the country's public sector development.

Romania, as a member of the European Union and a strategic partner of Moldova, aims to enhance its public service infrastructure through this partnership with Azerbaijan.
