Attorney General: Singapore to actively use Azerbaijan's experience
Azerbaijan's Attorney General Kamran Aliyev has said that the venue for the 30th anniversary conference of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) has been confirmed.
“The next conference and IAP General Assembly will be held in Singapore in 2025,” Aliyev said at the closing ceremony of the 29th annual IAP conference in Baku, Caliber.Az reports.
He also presented the symbolic flag of the IAP to his Singaporean counterpart Lucien Wong.
Wong noted that Azerbaijan's extensive experience in this sphere would be actively used in organising the 30th conference, and that preparatory work has already begun.
Baku is currently hosting a series of meetings with delegations from international organisations and various countries as part of the 29th Annual Conference of the International Association of Prosecutors.
Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev met with a delegation led by Croatian Prosecutor General Ivan Turudić.
The two sides exchanged views on the prospects for expanding legal and institutional cooperation between their respective prosecutorial offices through bilateral and international platforms.
Following their discussions, a memorandum of understanding was signed to develop further collaboration.
Established in 1995, the IAP is a global network aimed at promoting cooperation among prosecutors and enhancing the effectiveness of the prosecution services. The annual conference provides a platform for sharing best practices, discussing challenges, and fostering international collaboration in criminal justice.
