Azerbaijan’s border service leadership honours Heydar Aliyev’s memory PHOTO

The leadership and personnel of Azerbaijan’s State Border Service visited the Alley of Honour to mark the 107th anniversary of the establishment of the country’s border service.

They paid tribute to national leader Heydar Aliyev and laid flowers at his grave, the State Border Service press centre told AZERTAC.

The delegation also honoured the memory of distinguished ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

They then visited the Alley of Martyrs, where they paid tribute to the sons and daughters of Azerbaijan who gave their lives for the country’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity. A wreath was laid at the Eternal Flame memorial.
