Azerbaijan's chief of general staff visits NATO Defence College To strengthen military education cooperation

As part of his official visit to Italy, First Deputy Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, visited the NATO Defense College (NDC) in Rome.

Upon arrival, Colonel General Valiyev engaged in discussions with NDC Commandant Lieutenant General Max ALT Nielsen, alongside Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Italy Rashad Aslanov, the ministry told Caliber.Az.

They explored various opportunities and prospects for cooperation in military education, emphasizing the importance of training and development within the NATO framework.

The Chief of the General Staff was given an in-depth overview of the college's history, core activities, and the educational processes in place, along with the facilities available for students.

Concluding his visit, Colonel General Valiyev met with Azerbaijani servicemen and civilian personnel participating in the NATO Partnership Staff Post Concept and attending the NATO Regional Cooperation Course. He inquired about their educational experiences and conditions, reinforcing his commitment to the welfare and professional growth of Azerbaijani personnel within NATO structures.
