Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan discuss cooperation on defence industry PHOTO

A delegation led by Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Defence Industry Hidayat Azimov is on a working visit to Uzbekistan, where officials have discussed defence industry education, innovation and bilateral cooperation.

Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defence Industry said the delegation visited the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, where the sides discussed training qualified personnel for the defence industry, attracting young specialists to short-term educational programmes and prospects for cooperation in the field of education, Caliber.Az reports.

The meeting concluded with the signing of a memorandum.

The delegation also toured the Centre for Innovative Technologies, where it was briefed on the implementation of artificial intelligence, ongoing research and innovation projects, and the centre's operating principles.

During the visit, Hidayat Azimov also held talks with the leadership of Uzbekistan's Defence Industry Agency.
